Also Rans

Some rejected designs from the samurai project I was working on:

I like the guy at the front. He looks as if he'd ride a llama into battle...

Home Is Where You Hang Your Heart

Staying with my parents until we get back on our feet in Orstrayia. It's amazing how much smaller everything looks in the house where I grew up.

Love/Hate

Goodbye, London. They really were the best of times and the worst of times.

Rasta Hulk Is Watching

Yesterday was my last day with the fine people at CHASE, located in County Hall on London's South Bank. In the photo below, you can see Kristian almost working!

Did I just violate my non-disclosure agreement?

As you can see, going to work every day was a real hassle.

Thanks for having me, folks!

I Can Handle Rejection

Some rejected concept work from the Samurai project I'm working on at the moment.

Getting Through The Long Hard Winter

Guy Fawkes' fireworks from the kitchen window

It must be awesome to be a kid in the northern hemisphere in winter. From the end of October it's nothing but comfort food, bonfires and fireworks - a brilliant way to get through winter. You just hopscotch your way from Halloween to Guy Fawkes to Christmas to New Year's Eve, with fireworks at any time in between.

I can't wait for our annual government sanctioned pyrotechnic displays in Brisbane - the Ekka ('Kids! Who's brought you this year's fireworks?' 'Daaaaaiwy Faaaaaaarmers!!!') and Beer FM's Bogan Asplosion (or whatever the heck it's called) along the river. Yay.

My Moleskine Weighs A Ton

Because I'm all artsy and stuff I sometimes carry around a delightfully overpriced Moleskine, into which I scrawl meaningful artworks such as these:

Son of Popeye, father of Homer.

I am a character actor playing a gruff yet amiable newspaper editor.
...What's my line again?

Now here's some drawings from about 3 years ago when I was working in a warehouse:

I must've been wearing parachute pants to carry all that stationery around...

Friday Allsorts

This guy probably works in Soho. Or at least gets his sideboards trimmed there.

Friday is Bendy Body Day!

More Old Scratchings

Some sketches from my magnum opus, a fictionalised version of my days working in a furniture shop. How can you tell it's fictionalised? I'm wearing a cap.

'Daddy, where do babies come from?'

Musty Offerings From The Vault...

Some ideas I was kicking around for a children's book. Possibly never to be completed, of course.
